CAMSC also certifies bona-fide Aboriginal and visible minority-owned firms by conducting audits of ownership, sales, and business practices. The entire process includes a review and vote of the supplier by the board of directors and a site visit.

PSAB Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Businesses

PSAB is the Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Businesses. It is operated by the federal government of Canada with a mandate to certify and qualify certain Aboriginal suppliers as recognized "Aboriginal Businesses". The Federal Governments audited qualifications include proof of being Aboriginal Status and Canadian Residence, Aboriginal ownership of the enterprise, number of Aboriginal employees, and other qualifiers.
